It was wonderful to spend two weeks in Ballybunion this past July and making trips to Abbeyfeale, Duagh, Ballingarry and Kilmeedy during this time. Hello to the Fitzgibbons of Cahir Lane and to the Lanes of Abbeyfeale along with the Halpins of Duagh. I recently heard from Fr. William Lane in Washington State, brother of Jim (the Doc) Lane, by e-mail. My father (Thomas O’Flynn -Kilmeedy) celebrates his 78th birthday in 2012. He then sent for his fiancee, Mary Leahy, also of Abbeyfeale (born around 1884), a few years later and they were married in St. Louis.
