REBECCA SINGS UP A STORM!

The church was packed to the rafters last weekend for the “Coming Of Spring” concert featuring the talented Rebecca Storm, and even the few cynical old reprobates who normally congregate in the front porch to exchange gossip and talk about football, were seen to move somewhat tentatively further up the aisle in order to have a better listen and look.
Rebecca Storm is celebrating 25 years in the music industry this year. She has starred in numerous musicals, including Blood Brothers, Evita, Les Miserables, Cats and Aspects of Love.
She is no stranger to Ireland and among her many recordings is an hour-long TV special entitled Rebecca At The Cork Opera House.
She arrived to rapturous applause on Friday night, and gave a memorable and spell-binding two-hour performance which included many of her best known songs including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, Midnight and The Spinning Wheel.
“Folly that!” exclaimed one emotional punter as Miss Storm concluded her final encore.
But, of course, nobody could.
