CANVASSERS OFF AND WALKING!
| Category: Local News Sport | 0 Comments
THE posters are up and the canvassers are out and about in the locality seeking votes for the Local and European Elections which take place on Friday 5th June.
From now until polling day they will traverse every boreen and by-road seeking our support.
However, the campaign seems a tad subdued at the moment. It is almost like that slow horse race in Chester recently when the runners set off at walking pace and seemed most reluctant to inject any bit of speed into proceedings. Even the posters look smaller and less colourful than usual.
The pace of the campaign should pick up dramatically over the coming weeks as the cut and thrust of political debate increases and intensifies.
We shall continue to keep an eye on proceedings and bring you all the latest news as it happens.
