HAPPY CHRISTMAS FROM ABBEYFEALE!
| Category: Local News Sport | 0 Comments
This morning we send festive greetings to all of our visitors to Abbeyfeale On Line who are logging in to us from every corner of the earth as well as from nearer home.
People have contacted us from many countries throughout the world including England, America, Canada, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and several European countries.
We extend a Happy Christmas to all of you and we hope that you will continue to visit us in cyberspace during 2009..
It is a very pleasant Christmas morning here in Abbeyfeale. There was a slight overnight frost but it is very mild. (There is, we believe, heavy snow in New York.)
There was a big crowd at Midnight Mass last night which started at 9pm. (that is another story) The choir, under the capable baton of Dee Dennison, was in fine voice and the crib in the Church looked splendid.
The town was quiet enough for a Christmas Eve. The pubs were reasonably busy, but nothing out of the ordinary. The threatened job losses at Dell and the uncertainty surrounding Kostel have created an understandable sense of apprehension throughout the locality and, indeed, the whole country. We can only hope for better days ahead.
One again, Happy Christmas from Abbeyfeale and we look forward to your continued support in the future.
