Thursday is Valentine’s Day, and time for the romance, the cards, the flowers and the box of chocolates. (Better get something for the wife as well, in case she feels neglected.) Below are a few little gems floating around the web at present. Enjoy!

A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

Before marriage, a man yearns for the woman he loves.
After marriage, the “y” becomes silent..

They’ve experienced pain and bought jewellery
………………..
A couple are having a discussion about family finances. The husband says “If it weren’t for my money, the house wouldn’t be here”
The wife replied, “My dear, if it weren’t for your money, I wouldn’t be here!.”

The most effective way to remember your wife’s birthday is to forget it – once!
…………………….
Every man wants a wife who is beautiful, understanding, economical, and a good cook. But the law allows only one wife.
…………………..
A man is incomplete until he is married. After that, he is finished!
FAI “TRAP” THEIR MAN!
Giovanni Trapattoni of Italy looks set to be confirmed as the new Republic of Ireland soccer manager tomorrow. The FAI have called a board meeting for tomorrow afternoon where, barring accidents, the new manager will be announced, and the new regime should be in place for the game against Serbia in Croke Park on the 24th May.
However, already poor old Giovanni has been put under pressure, having received a wholehearted endorsement (and the kiss of death) from Eamon Dunphy. One hopes, that unlike the Cork footballers, the new manager will be permitted to pick his own selectors.

Battling Ireland restored some pride in the jersey despite going down by 26-21 against France on Saturday. The French ran in four tries, each one coming from questionable turnovers. The Irish trailed 26-6 with just twenty minutes to go, but staged a remarkable comeback, and if Brian O’Driscoll’s pass had gone to hand in the closing passage of play, they might well have recorded a famous victory.
