BEGINNING TO LIGHT UP!

As we enter the first week of December, the occasional Christmas tree is already putting in an appearance around the locality. A recent phenominen is the illuminating of whole houses and gardens with a multitude of coloured Christmas lights of varying sizes and shapes. A certain competitive edge seems to have entered these displays with people vying to see who can create the most colourful and original exhibit. Most of these displays are breathtaking and must involve a huge amount of time and effort. (not to mention expense) Perhaps we might show a selection of these on the Christmas section of our MSN PHOTO ALBUM and people can decide on their favourites. Members can post their pics directly onto the site, or e-mail them to me with the relevant details and I will publish them. And if any of our overseas visitors have any Christmas snaps we would love to see them.
(More about Christmas next week……)
And a current joke doing the rounds is that when children now write to Santa Clause to ask for presents they should include the Argos catalogue number of each item to speed up delivery!
It is true for the old folk. The nature has gone out of the people.
