PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARDS!

SOCCER

All games in the Desmond League were cancelled last weekend due to the bad weather. At the recent Abbeyfeale Utd FC Social in the Devon Inn, the following were presented with awards; Player of the Year U/15, Sean Tierney. U/16, Billy Quirke. U/17, Robert Browne. Youths, David Roche. “B” Team, jointly to Michael Brosnihan and John Haugh. “A” Team, Pat Fitzgerald. Clubman of the Year went to Noel Keane. A special award was also presented to Willie Pa O`Connor and Doreen McEnery in recognition of their work in running the lotto draw.

GOLF

Conleth Dillon has been named 2004 Golfer of the Year at Abbeyfeale Golf Club. The AGM takes place on Tuesday 7^th December. Nominations and motions must be submitted by 6pm on Friday 3^rd December.

RUGBY

Kanturk defeated Abbeyfeale 17-13 in the Munster Junior League on Sunday.
