    I’m seeking info on family friend Jim Furlong. Last known details were from 1950s when he worked either as a pharmacist or pharmaceutical rep in Limerick, Tipperary etc. Was a friend of Ryan publicans (my cousins) in Tipperary town. Lost contact with him and his family so any later news would be appreciated. Thanks.

    My mother (Hannah) was born in Abbeyfeale. She moved to Stockport, UK. My children ask me about their heritage and I realise how little I know. Her mother was Sarah (nee Gouran) and her grandfather Thade (Timothy) wrote ballads. When I was 6 I visited Abbeyfeale with her and stayed with some of her friends (Mary Jo Enright and Nora… I think). SHe had lovely friends too in Moynsha (Peg). Any info would be welcome… she spoke of her hometown often.. you were all well-loved by her.

    Let me explain my current predicament.

    A week ago I met a lovely girl in an Irish bar here in Brisbane Australia. I spend that evening talking to this girl. She was with 3 other girls at the time and they had just arrived in Brisbane. Unfortunately, she had to leave abruptly. She said to me to wait for her but she didn’t come back to the bar. I have been completely awestruck and mesmerised ever since.

    Fortunately for me, we shared a lot about one another that night. There was a map of Ireland next to us in the bar and she pointed to me that she is from Abbeyfeale. I made a note of this and even joked to her about coming to visit her in Abbeyfeale.

    I have spent the last week trying to find her. I know this email might sound stalkish but I come with all transparency and honesty. I really would love to contact sinead once more. Or have her contact me. I have a feeling she might be looking for me too.

    Her name is Sinead . I do not know her last name though. 24 years of age and she is in marketing. She will be heading to New Zealand at the end of this month and then back to Ireland. Thats all I have about her.

    I write to you as the last resort. Perhaps you might help me seeing you are the community correspondent and Abbeyfeale from what she told me is small.

    I hope you do not disregard this email. Help me find Sinead.

    Im looking for information on a Noreen Browne, Unfortunately I forgot to include my email which I do now at the end of Notice,
    Her father May have been Noel, Or Nell Ned she had a brother James Browne Who was a Superintendant in the Garda,She Married a Jack/John Macfarlane on 14th June 1930 in Clontarf, ,
    She remarried when Jack died who had a garage in the area Last i heard she was in a Nursing home but that was quite a long time ago, I believe there was some connection with Brownes Bar in Abbeyfeale but i think this pub has changed ownership and were not very helpful when I rang and made enqiiries, I need you to assist me in finding information for my Family Tree any info however small please to my email :
